Due to continued success and opportunity they urgently looking to appoint the services of a well-polished Project Director from a building background / profile to enhance their Manchester operation.

You will be tasked with taking over and delivering a £20-30m complex refurbishment project in central Manchester. It has just under a year to run to completion and being repurposed into a 60 key hotel, multiple F&B, workspace commercial units and landscaped courtyard. Great full city block location.

They are looking for someone with a Great Blue chip Client communication skills, strong precon, design management and procurement skills, alongside 1st class building and team leadership skills.

You will have a detailed and impressive permanent career history including similar complex refurbishment projects gained within Tier 1 main contractors. Your application will supported by a BSC(hons) and /or MCIOB accreditation/ qualification.

Beyond this project they are looking for somebody to further develop this clients long term relationship and further enhance the businesses Manchester presence / profile.

Building Services Manager

I am currently searching on behalf of a top 5 Main Contractor with offices throughout the UK for a Building Services Manager to cover projects across London and surrounding areas.

Basic Salary to £80k plus £6k car allowance plus travel

Their projects are across multiple sectors including Commercial Offices, Healthcare, Education and Defence and vary in size from £10-100 mill with a sweet spot of £30-50mill.

Quantity Surveyor-North Wales to £50K + Car + Bens + Lodge

Our client, a world renowned Principle Contractor are seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for a prestigious Tunnelling and Civils scheme in North Wales. Works involve Tunnelling to house National Grid Power Cables and associated Civils works with the project valued at over £350m.  Based from site offices, daily duties will include managing sub contractor accounts, cost reporting, issuing payments, variations and attending regular Commercial meetings.

To be considered you will have a minimum of an HNC in Quantity Surveying and have 2-5 years experience gained within the Civil Engineering sector and gained within the Main Contracting environment.

This comes with an excellent salary and benefits with lodge paid if required.

Site Engineer

Main Responsibilities: 

  1. Provide Horizontal Control on all floors for the project.
  2. Provide Vertical Control on all floors for the project.
  3. Monitor basement slab for deflection and settlement.
  4. Monitor existing structures for movement associated with construction works.
  5. Monitor structure for vertical shortening, if required.
  6. Carry out as-built checks throughout shell and core construction.
  7. Log in all incoming surveys.
  8. Process, compile and check all jobs prior to submission to Engineering Surveying Manager.
  9. Provide training and advice to the Assistant Surveyors
  10. Oversee calibration of all survey equipment
  11. Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested and assigned by the Engineering Surveying Manager.

Requirements:

  1. You must demonstrate proven Engineering experience, gained from working on major construction projects as an Engineering Surveyor.
  2. You should have experience in high rise construction surveying techniques. Failing that, quality proven experience on major construction projects in a position of responsibility over other surveyors will be essential.
  3. It is essential that the you be in possession of a relevant formal qualification e.g. Bachelor of Surveying or Engineering degree, HND (as a minimum).
  4. Ideally you should be a member of a Professional Surveying Institution or be actively working towards membership. e.g. RICS, ICES.
  5. It is essential that you possess a practical, proactive and problem solving approach to surveying in difficult conditions, and under tight time frames.
  6. It is essential that you have good communication skills and be able to communicate and influence behaviours at all levels.
  7. It is essential that you be a team player and be able to work well with the assigned project team, trade contractors and members of the survey department.
  8. It is essential that you have the ability to develop and implement surveying related systems and procedures where required.
  9. It is essential that you be willing to undertake training and a personal development program.
  10. It is essential that you be able to train others where knowledge and skills allow.
  11. It is essential that you be computer literate and have good administration skills.
  12. It is essential that the incumbent be competent in assessing and commenting on the adequacy of Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
