Our client, an award winning Main Contactor is looking for a A Fiber Optic Project Manager oversees all aspects of fiber optic installation projects, from planning to implementation and closeout. Main duties and responsibilities are below:

SITE SUPERVISOR X 3

Our client are a highly reputable Sub Contractor who are undertaking a sizeable project on Thames Tideway which includes Groundworks, Drainage, Paving and Landscaping works.

Due to the works now commencing, they seek 3 Site Supervisors to oversee the sections of work on this scheme with daily duties including overseeing labour and contractors on site, daily reporting, health & safety and where needed assisting with the work although this will be on rare occasions.

To be considered, you MUST hold SSSTS as a minimum, CSCS and will ideally have been Tideway inducted although this is not essential and an Induction can be arranged. You MUST also have Civil Engineering Supervisory experience to your name.

MOBILE COMMISSIONING ENGINEER

My client, a tier 1, main contractor requires a Commissioning Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in driving the successful commissioning of their assets which includes Motor Control Centres, Pumping Plant, Process Equipment, Standby Generation Equipment and various other instrumentation.

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be working across Scotland on initially their smaller and then moving to larger assets. This is a stand-alone role that requires effective communication with their teams, simulating their assets and reporting back on their functionality. You will be responsible for ensuring the assets are working as they should.

This position will require regional travel across Scotland. They will provide a van, fuel card, accommodation, evening meal and breakfast while you are working away.

Your remit is to contribute to the preparation of Commissioning Plans, Review P&ID diagrams, and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors throughout the commissioning process.

In this role you will be given the chance to demonstrate your skills and expertise. What’s important to you is ensuring the successful functioning of the assets. You can expect to be involved in the full plant instrumentation and control simulation and ensuring that our assets are fully operational and functioning as required.

Key Requirements

Valid CSCS card or a SHEA Water Card

Knowledge of PLC software packages is essential

Preferably demonstrable experience of working within the water and / or sewage industries

Good IT skills including familiarity with the Microsoft packages

Previous experience of commissioning installations (M&E) in line with industry standards

ASSISTANT QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Due to an increase in workload within their Thames Water Framework, our client, a top Utility provider is seeking the services of an Assistant QS to support projects including a large Water Mains replacement scheme in Twickenham.

Based from offices there, duties will include:

Carrying out the day to day administration of the commercial and financial aspects of projects. * Close liaison with the Project Management Team(s) * Preparing Cost and Value reporting * Preparing commercial performance reports * Manage procurement including labour, plant, materials and subcontract * Demand forecasting * VOWD forecasting * Cost control * Cash collection * Subcontract management and liaison.

To be considered you will have a minimum of an HNC in Quantity Surveying and have circa 2 years experience gained within the Main Contracting environment ideally on Utility works with Civil Engineering experience also considered.

This is a Temp to Perm role and comes with a solid day rate and excellent salary on the permanent side. They will consider straight permanent if preferred.

Works will include Installing airfield lighting cables, transformers and lights to runways and taxiways. Daily duties to include overseeing labour on site, health & safety, reporting and walk rounds/inspections.

To be considered for these roles, you will have SSSTS, IOSH and CSCS and come from an Electrical background. You will ideally have worked on the above works within the Airport environment however this is not essential and training will be provided if required.
These are night works with the hours of 19.00-5.00am and time and 1/2 applied for these shifts also so great rates on offer!

The works include Park and Ride Upgrade and the Construction of a Play Park so lots of soft lanscaping and drainage etc.

Daily duties will include preparation of RAMs, Task Briefings, Ordering Plant & Materials, Overseeing Sub Contractors and Daily Reporting.

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have a minimum of an HNC in Civil Engineering and will have worked your way up to your current role of Site Agent whilst working on Civils works and ideally some Highways. SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid also required.
