Our client are a highly reputable Sub Contractor who are undertaking a sizeable project on Thames Tideway which includes Groundworks, Drainage, Paving and Landscaping works.

Due to the works now commencing, they seek 3 Site Supervisors to oversee the sections of work on this scheme with daily duties including overseeing labour and contractors on site, daily reporting, health & safety and where needed assisting with the work although this will be on rare occasions.

To be considered, you MUST hold SSSTS as a minimum, CSCS and will ideally have been Tideway inducted although this is not essential and an Induction can be arranged. You MUST also have Civil Engineering Supervisory experience to your name.

In return, an immediate start is on offer along with a rate of £200.00 Per Day which is paid OUTSIDE IR35 so Ltd or CIS accepted for this role.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a major JV are undertaking the Construction of a major Tunnell in South East London along with other Civils works including Road Construction, Structures and Drainage which is valued at over £1b. They have an immediate need for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Team on a freelance basis.

Supporting the Commercial Team, you will be resposible for assisting with Sub Contractor Account Management, Issuing Payments, Cost Allocation and Reporting and other duties as directed by the Senior QS who you will be reporting to.

To be considered for this role, you MUST have a minimum of an HNC in Civil Engineering and have up to 2 years experience gained ideally on a major Civil Engineering scheme and within the Main Contracting environment.

Based from site offices in Bermondsey and reporting to the Project Manager, daily duties will include preparation of RAMs and Task Briefings, Overseeing Labour and Contractors on site, Health & Safety and Material Ordering.

To be considered, you MUST be an experienced Site Manager and hold CSCS, SMSTS and ideally First Aid to your name. You MUST also have experience in Groundworks and Paving works, this is essential.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor x 3

Due to an increase in workload within their Rail and London Underground sectors, our client, a family owned and highly respected Contractor is seeking to bolster its Commercial Team and add 3 Assistant/Quantity Surveyors to join their team based from South East London.

Works typically include Signalling Upgrades, Track Replacements, Depot Upgrades, Station Modifications and HS2 works.

Daily duties will include Cost Reporting, Issuing Payments, Timesheet administration, Assisting with Budgets and CVRs and attending regular progress meetings with Senior Management.

To be considered for these roles, you will have a minimum of an HNC in Quantity Surveying or be currently on a day release whilst employed. You will also have 3-5 years experience within the Rail, LU or Construction sectors.

MEP Site Manager (Days & Nights)-South London- to £400 per shift / CIS

Due to the recent award of Fit Out works on Rail arches in South London, our client are looking for a Day and Night MEP Manager to oversee these works.

The scheme involves the fit out of units in the Rail arches and is mainly electrical with some mechanical aspects also. Duties will include overseeing Contractors on site and pushing the works to tight deadlines, health & safety and reporting.

To be considered you will be an experienced MEP Manager who has experience in Fit Out with Rail interface an advantage but not essential. You must also have SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS certification to your name.  In return a top day rate is on offer with CIS accepted and an initial 3-4 month contract.

  • Assist in writing the scope of works for the trade contract packages.
  • To assist the project team to manage all projects safely provide a quality service to our customers throughout London and South East region.

Responsibilities –

  • To deliver a high quality project.
  • To assist and manage the performance of the trade contractors.
  • To assist in managing the programme and progress on site.
  • To ensure works are carried out to high standard complying with relevant British Standards and codes of practice.
  • Drive procurement both for compliance and target cost efficiencies
  • To assist the team on site with checking technical information.
  • Develop the skill set to manage a larger mechanical project eventually lead as PM.
  • Support the supervisors and sub-cons on technical solutions to site issues
  • QA and site audits of contract works
  • Attend supply chain meetings with main contractors to support PM

Qualifications –

  • Effective planning and project management skills
