Our client is a well established and respected provider of track, civil engineering, construction and maintenance services to the rail industry who requires a senior quantity surveyor to join their team on a major Depot scheme that they have recently secured.
Daily duties will include management of Subcontractor Accounts, Cost Reporting, Variations and Claims along with mentoring an Assistant QS and managing a Project QS.
To be considered you will have a minimum of a HNC in quantity surveying and have either rail, LU or depot / station experience gained within the Main Contracting Environment using NEC Form of Contract.

P6 Planner

Due to an increase in workload within their Rail and London Underground divisions, our client, a medium sized, family owned Contractor are seeking the services of a P6 Planner to support projects which include M&E and Comms works at Stations including Paddington and Kings Cross with specifics including Installation of PA and Camera Systems, Trunking and Cable Trays.

Daily duties will include creation of the Programme and updating this using Primavera P6, Cost and Resource Management, Tracing Progress against the Plan and administering Change and Preparation of Monthly Progress Reports in relation to the Project Plan.

To be considered for this role, you MUST have P6 experience and have worked on MEP and Comms related projects, ideally within the Rail/LU sectors.

In return, a top day rate is on offer which is Outside IR35 and comes with an ongoing contract and immediate start for the right individual.

MEP Quantity Surveyor required for Tier 1 Main Contactor on Central London Major Mixed Use Projects

Must have Build or Heavy Cut and Carve project Experience.

Must have authorisation to work in the UK

You will oversee and carry out all surveying activity in relation to M&E package, working closely with design, planning and construction teams. We’ll look to you to ensure forecasted project margins are met, documentation is prepared and quality assurance processes and systems are respected. Key responsibilities and experience will include:

  • To ensure site supervisory staff are aware of the project’s scope of works and inclusions in tender packages
  • Preparing tender packages for M&E subcontract works
  • Prepare documents required for the procurement of sub- contractors
  • Prepare contracts and documents for inclusion in tender packages
  • Ensure that the month on month cash position is positive and the forecasted project margin is met or exceeded.
  • Prepare forecasts and report on financial status and cash flow.
  • Administer subcontracts to include payments and claims and submitting progress claims to the client.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Clients, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.

Administer the head contract to include assessment of works completed and where time extensions are needed

Building Services Manager / Technical Services Manager

We are currently working with a well established Principal Contractor who specialise in Cat A and Cat B Fit Out and Refurbishment projects varying from £2-£8 million within the Commercial Office, Leisure and High End Resi sectors, who are searching for an experienced Technical or Building Services Manager to oversee M&E Packages on their projects with a view to managing and growing the division and working as a part of the work win team on bids and tenders.

Must have:

  • Fit Out experience.
  • Full understanding of M&E Packages.
  • UK project experience.
  • Authorisation to work in the UK.
