A well-established Main Contractor who specialise in Commercial Office Cat A & B Fit out and refurb projects ranging from £2 – 20mill in value are searching for a Technical Services Manager with a minimum of 2years’ experience working with a Main Contractor on Fit out and Refurbprojects.

  • Attend meetings with the Client, the designers, specialist contractors and other team Contribute to the regular Project Report, and attend Project
  • Review designers and contractors’ drawings for completeness of information and compliance with contract requirements (specification, ER, etc).
  • Check ongoing installation for compliance with contract requirements (specification, drawings etc.)
  • Provide assistance in planning and executing the building services commissioning.
  • Assist with the delivery of the building services works or the elements there off on the project. and liaise with sub-contractors. Specialists and Consultants. as appropriate.
  • Assist in the production of monthly Services Status Reports on their projects or provide information to support the overall project.

ASSISTANT QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Due to an increase in their workload on HS2, our client are seeking the services of an Assistant QS to support the commercial activity on these works.

The work being carried out major utility diversions, highway, concrete and structures.

The role will be based from their site offices in central London

Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Carrying out the day to day administration of the commercial and financial aspects of projects.
  • Close liaison with the Project Management Team(s)
  • Preparing Cost and Value reporting
  • Preparing commercial performance reports
  • Manage procurement including labour, plant, materials and subcontract
  • Demand forecasting
  • VOWD forecasting
  • Cost control
  • Cash collection
  • Subcontract management and liaison.

To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of an HNC in Quantity Surveying and have circa 2 years experience gained within the Main Contracting environment, ideally on major utility works and/or Civil Engineering experience.

The role:

My client, a Tier 1, Main Contractor are looking for a Project Manager (Fibre Optics / Utilities) to support (initially) client research and tender activity in this market.

A Fiber Optic Project Manager oversees all aspects of fibre optic installation projects, from planning to implementation and closeout. Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Connect the cable to network equipment and test for proper operation

CONTRACTS MANAGER

Due to the recent award of a number of Rail schemes on CP7, our client, a major UK Contractor are looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager on a freelance basis to support works which include Station Upgrades, Bridge Replacements, Platform Extensions and other Civils works in the Rail environment.

The chosen candidate will be required to oversee a portfolio of £50m over circa 30 schemes with daily duties including overseeing Project Managers on each site, attending meetings to ensure the projects are all running to time and budget and other constraints.

To be considered you will have proven experience in a Senior Management role within Rail and with reputable Main Contractors. You will also have managed the size of portfolio mentioned above.
