Senior Site Engineer & Site Engineer
My client requires both a Site Engineer and Senior Engineer to assist them on multiple projects around the Kent area. Ideal background will be Engineers with Highways and heavy civils experience.
- Setting out using total stations, GPS equipment, and to be able to undertake traditional setting out using profiles, batter rail and pegs
- Read and review construction drawings
- Undertake basic take-off’s Raising technical queries with designers and other members of the client team
- Undertake day to day setting out duties with no supervision
- Train, manage and mentor Junior Engineers
- Manage and monitor all site sample / performance testing requirements and maintain records in line with the contract specification.
- Complete hazard / risk assessments and method statements.
- Manage the site service plans/ drawings. Issue permits accordingly.
- Assist the site QS / Project Manager with providing the relevant information for records and claims purposes.
The candidate will require previous civil engineering experience, particularly highways schemes working for a main contractor. Must also have a CSCS card in the appropriate discipline and have a BSc/ HND/ HNC qualification or equivalent. You will require a SSTS card. Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving license.

SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Our client, a highly reputable Regional Contractor within the Civil Engineering sector has the need for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Highways team based from offices in Dartford with works including Junction Improvements, Surfacing, Bridge Refurbishments etc.
Daily duties will include overseeing Sub Contractor Accounts, cost reporting, pricing projects and attending regular Commercial meetings.

SITE ENGINEER
Due to an increase in workload within their Water sector, our client, a major player within the Civil Engineering and Utility sectors are looking for a Site Engineer to join their team on a freelance basis on a scheme in Maidstone.
The works are a new Pumping Station and associated Civils works with daily duties predominantly being Setting Out, QA and assisting in overseeing Sub Contractors on site.
To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of an HNC in Civil Engineering and hold CSCS certification with EUSR preferred but not essential. You must also have all round Civil Engineering experience and ideally exposure to the Water sector gained within the Main Contracting environment.

They are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead and manage the commercial elements of their key projects within the Defence and Strategic markets.
- Lead and manage complex civil engineering projects within the Defence and Strategic markets, from initiation through to completion.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.

Responsibilities
- To management of site staff operatives and sub-contractors.
- Provide method statements, hazard risk assessments and Project Management plans.
- Understand the tender allowances and monitor contract costs against agreed budgets and company financial reporting.
- Preparing and monitoring programmes of work.
- Manage design co-ordination.
- Assessment and engagement of sub-contractors.
- Inform, consult and involve local groups as necessary.
- Promote and ensure all work complies with safety, quality and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures.

Skills Required
- You should already be experienced as a Site Agent and have a relevant industry qualification (HND/ HNC/ BEng) or equivalent, an up-to-date SMSTS qualification, and appropriate CSCS card. A First Aid at Work is desirable
- You will also have experience of managing civil engineering projects with a main contractor along with previous experience on Highways, Earthworks and Structures experience.
- Be able to maintain and monitor works against a programme and budget.
- Have compliance with current legislation requirements, including the production and implementation of RAMs and other associated safety/project documentation.

Our client is a regionally structured civil engineering firm with national capabilities working in the strategic highways, flood and coastal defence, roads and bridges, harbours, and ports as well as many more civil sectors.
