Dave has been working in recruitment since 2003, where he has been purely focusing on the recruitment of freelance and permanent staff within the Civil Engineering and Rail sectors. During his time in the industry, Dave has successfully recruited personnel on major projects including recently CrossRail, HS2 and numerous Rail and Highway Frameworks and in the past projects including the M25 Widening, The Olympic Park, London Underground Station Modernisation Frameworks.

He has built up some excellent relationships over the years with both candidates and clients and has come on board with the aim of progressing these further and to continue to provide an honest, open and reliable service to both.

In his spare time, Dave enjoys spending time with his family and 2 daughter’s and is also an avid follower of the ‘mighty’ Tottenham Hotspur! Will Spurs win something before he retires from recruitment…….unlikely!

April 2015 to Present

Recently recruited by Solution to manage the Rail & Infrastructure division providing freelance and permanent Management, Engineering and Commercial staff to Contractors throughout the UK on sectors including Rail Infrastructure, Station Modernisations and associated Civil Engineering works, Highways Construction & Maintenance, Airports, Water Treatment Works, Structures and Tunnelling schemes and London Underground Projects.

Henry Recruitment – Senior Recruitment Consultant

2009 to 2015

Promoted to manage the recruitment of Freelance White Collar staff to Contractors who operate within the London Underground, Network Rail and CrossRail sectors. Positions recruited for included Senior Management, Site Agents/Managers, Foremen/Supervisors, Health & Safety, Engineers, Planners and Quantity Surveyors of all levels.

During this time, he was the top biller for each of the 5 years that he was employed at Henry Recruitment and recorded record figures for the company. He was also involved in the training and mentorship of Trainee Consultants who joined with little or no experience in the industry.

Henry Recruitment – Trainee/Recruitment Consultant

2003 to 2009

Initially joined as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant working alongside a Senior Consultant within the Civil Engineering and Rail sectors. Training was very hands-on and he was given the chance to speak with and meet numerous candidates and attend client meetings in order to learn how to develop these relationships on a personal and professional level. Dave was also given thorough training on the Recruitment Process including interviewing candidates, CV presentation, Advertising, Rate Negotiation, Accounting Procedures and Law & Legislation within the Industry.

After 6 months he was given his own clients and was tasked with developing these over the next 2 years.

Following on from this period, he was then tasked with heading up the Freelance recruitment for the Civil Engineering, Rail and London Underground sectors and had 2 Consultants working with him within this sector. He progressed the division and improved the billings substantially each year.
