Section Engineers x 3

Due to an increase in workload within the Rail/LU divisions, our client, a top 10 world renowned Main Contractor seeks to secure the services of 3 Section Engineers for Station Upgrade works in West London. The works are valued at £10m per station with 3 being undertaken and include Platform Extensions, full Station Upgrades and AFA works along with other areas including MEP etc. Based from site offices in West London, you will be responsible for undertaking site paperwork, WPPs etc, management of Sub Contractors on site, ensuring Engineers are setting Out as per Drawings, Health & Safety and attending regular meetings on the progress of the job. To be considered for one of these positions, you will have a minimum of an HNC in Civil Engineering and have a proven background in Section Engineering within the Main Contracting environment and on Station Upgrades. You will also have CSCS and ideally SMSTS certification to your name. ICI is required but can be arranged if needed through Solution Recruitment sponsorship. In return, the successful individual will be rewarded with a top day rate and long term contract which should span between 6-9 months. Section Engineer

Due to the recent award of a number of Water related schemes, our client, a top 10 Regional Contractor who turn over in excess of £150m seek to secure the services of an experienced Engineer for a large scheme in Chertsey (Surrey). The works include the re-instatement of a number of large pipes on the clean water side with specific aspects including Deep Excavations, Drainage and earthworks. The duties associated with this role will include assisting the Site Agent with paperwork including Method Statements and Risk Assessments, Health & Safety, Sub Contractor Management and a minor amount of Setting Out. The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of an HNC in Civil Engineering and will have a solid background in Civil Engineering gained with reputable Main Contractors with Water experience certainly preferred but not essential. You will also have SSSTS and CSCS as a minimum. In return, the successful individual will be rewarded with a top day rate and excellent overtime rates along with a long term contract which will span well into 2020.

Project Manager Fit-Out

Due to the recent award of an extremely interesting Fit Out scheme for High Speed Rail, our client, a Regional Contractor who specialise in Rail related works are seeking to secure the services of a Project Manager to oversee a Station Upgrade project with a focus on Fit Out works. The project itself is based at the worlds oldest running station (listed building) and involves Fit Out works including Structural Alterations, Fit Out of Waiting Rooms and Ticket Hall and various finishes.

Based from site offices and overseeing the team on site, you will be responsible for the below:

  • To take full responsibility for the programme of works
  • To identify problems and offer solutions.
  • To suggest specialist trade contractors
  • To review design drawings.
  • Liaison with the Commercial team in order to keep the project within Budget and Time constraints
  • To be considered for this role, you will ideally have a Degree in Construction Management and have Tier 1 experience gained in Fit Out schemes with Station experience an advantage but not essential. You MUST also have Heritage experience as this is a listed building.

In return, a top day rate is on offer along with a long term contract and the opportunity to head up a prestigious and landmark scheme on HS2.
